Certificate
Certificate for Giclée Prints – authentication that creates value
A giclée print is not just a reproduction, but an archival-quality art piece. To authentically certify this, an A4 certificate can be requested, which documents the technology used, the materials, and the edition size.
The certificate is not merely an accompanying document – it is the official proof of the work’s authenticity and value.
Archival quality, in documented form
The certificate is printed on archival paper, so the document itself appears on a durable medium.
Each copy:
- A4 size
- numbered, with a holographic security sticker
- printed in archival quality
Two holographic stickers with identical serial numbers ensure the clear connection between the print and the certificate:
- one sticker is placed on the back of the giclée print
- the other on the certificate
This solution prevents substitution and clearly identifies the specific copy.
What does the certificate certify?
The document certifies that the print:
- was created on archival-quality material
- was printed with pigment-based, archival ink system
- meets archival standards
With proper storage, giclée prints certified with a certificate have a lifespan exceeding 100 years, thus preserving their visual and collector value long-term.
The certificate contains:
- the artist’s name
- the title of the work
- the name of the material used
- the print’s serial number
- the total edition size
- the artist’s and printer’s signatures
This information clearly documents the edition, the technology, and the origin of the work.
